oh, hell yes!
-They only toured and played, like, 2 shows for this album
-A kid that I know went to this show and recorded it. I play it all the time, however raw it might be. The banter that Brian does between songs is pretty awesome/funny, as usual. I hope that stays and they don’t edit it out.
-I expected this side project of the Gaslight Anthem to suck since most side projects tend to suck or go weird
-besides the misleading lead single ‘Behold the Hurricane’, it is dramatically different/original from Gaslight. Lot of Tom Waits, Afghan Whigs, Leonard Cohen, Elvis Costello influences. It’s moodier.
-I was fully prepared for it to suck. It did not. It ended up being my favorite album of 2011. It sneaked up on me.
-It’s just a great break-up album that reminds me of what I was like when I was 17-20 and basically heartbroken and crazy over a pretty awful girl. Sounds like Brian went through the same situation.
-how did the Horrible Crowes release a DVD before Gaslight. What the hell?
